Herbal Wild Garlic Home-Baked Bread

Ingredients

Dough: 
600g flour

300ml water
50g olive oil

3 spoons salt
40g yeast

Butter: 
100g soft butter/margarine

20g grated cheese (e.g. parmesan)
some leaves of wild garlic

some leaves of fresh basil

1 chopped garlic

1 chopped onion

1 spoon salt

1/2  spoon oregano

optional: add some pesto, other herbs or spices

 

Procedure

1. Prepare a rectangular cake form with parchment paper inside
2. Mix water, flour, yeast, olive oil and salt carefully. Put your dough on a clean surface and form a square of about 40x40cm.
3. Cut all the herbs, onion and wild garlic into tiny pieces. Add them into a bowl.
4. Add some grated cheese and the softened butter to the herb mix. Then add seasoning with salt, oregano and your favourite dried herbs (thyme, parsley, etc.)
5. Spread the herbal butter mix on the dough equally over the entire surface. Cut the dough into stripes of about 7cm in width.
6. Fold the dough like an accordion and stack it in a row into the baking form one behind the other one.

7. Bake for about 20 minutes at 200°. Tastes best when it is still warm on the inside. Enjoy!
